Eco-Friendly Cork Promotional Products

Every item tagged here pairs cork with a second material that has a documented environmental claim: RPET made from recycled bottles, FSC certified cork or paper, recycled cotton, recycled plastic or bamboo. It cuts across the whole catalog, so you will find drinkware, notebooks, bags and chargers on one page.

What the claim actually covers

Cork is harvested by stripping the bark from a living cork oak roughly every nine years. The tree is not felled and regrows the bark, which is why cork is treated as a renewable material rather than a harvested one. That covers the cork. It does not cover the rest of the product: the ceramic body of a mug, the stainless steel of a tumbler, the circuit board in a charger. When a buyer asks what percentage of the item is sustainable, the honest answer is the cork portion plus whatever recycled content the second material carries.

The certifications on this page

FSC Mix means the wood or cork fiber comes from a mix of certified forest, recycled and controlled sources, verified through a chain of custody. RPET means the polyester was made from recycled PET bottles. Recycled cotton means post-industrial cotton waste spun back into fabric. These are third-party schemes with audit trails, which is what separates them from an unbacked eco label.

Where the claim gets thin

A printed cork pattern is not cork. Several items in the catalog carry a cork look printed on paper or plastic; they are tagged separately under faux cork pattern and they do not belong in a sustainability story. Shipping also matters: a single air-freighted rush order undoes most of the material saving. If the environmental claim is the point of the program, order early enough to ship by sea or ground.

Using this for a procurement submission

Ask us for the specific certification number on the item you are considering before you put a claim in a bid document or an ESG report. We can pull the supplier documentation. Copying a marketing line off a product page into a formal submission is how buyers end up defending a claim they cannot evidence.
