Cork Notebooks, Journals & Pens

Cork notebooks and journals here are mostly 5.5″ x 8.25″ and 5.5″ x 8.5″, with covers in cork, cork and bamboo, cork and recycled PU, or cork bonded to FSC certified and recycled paper. Cork pens are a separate build: a plastic or metal barrel with a cork barrel wrap or a cork grip section.

Notebooks and journals

The standard here is a 5.5″ x 8.25″ or 5.5″ x 8.5″ bound journal with a cork cover. Hard bound, soft bound, spiral and gift-set versions are all stocked. Covers combine cork with FSC Mix paper, recycled cotton, recycled PET or bamboo. Minimums on journals are typically in the dozens, which makes them workable for a small team as well as a conference.

Cork pens

Cork pens come in two builds. A cork barrel pen wraps cork around most of the barrel, which is what people picture when they search for a cork pen. A cork grip pen puts cork only on the grip section, with an aluminum or metal barrel above it. The barrel version reads more clearly as cork in a photo; the grip version feels better in the hand. Pens carry a much higher minimum than notebooks, usually a few hundred pieces, because they are screen printed in runs.

Decoration

Cork takes a one-color screen print, a laser engrave that burns a darker tone into the surface, a heat transfer, or a full-color inkjet for photographic artwork. Optional foil is available on several journal lines. Engraving on cork gives a subtle, tonal result rather than high contrast, so a thin logo with fine lines will lose detail. If your mark has hairlines, screen print it.

Gift sets

Several items pair a cork notebook with a pen in one box. If you are building a welcome kit, a ready-made set is usually cheaper than buying the two pieces separately and paying a kitting charge on top.
